If you already installed v0.5.0, do not spend with it

That build carries a prover the on-chain verifier stopped accepting on 4 August 2026, so a shielded action signed by it is rejected by the chain. Shield, send and withdraw from the web app instead. We have not audited what this build does to notes already stored in it, so do not uninstall it on our word until we have.

Install Protocol 01

  • 1 · Download & unzip

    Download the .zip above and extract it. You'll get a folder named protocol01-extension-0.5.0.

  • 2 · Open the extensions page

    Go to chrome://extensions (Opera: opera://extensions, Edge: edge://extensions, Brave: brave://extensions).

  • 3 · Enable Developer mode

    Toggle Developer mode on (top-right of the page).

  • 4 · Load unpacked

    Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder protocol01-extension-0.5.0.

  • 5 · Pin & open

    Pin Protocol 01 from the puzzle icon, open it, and create or connect a wallet.
